What are the work-study programs?

The MSUN work-study programs offers an opportunity for part time on-campus employment. Work-Study is awarded as a type of financial aid that offers students an opportunity to earn money through need-based Federal and State Work-Study Programs. Limited funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, in accordance with Northern policy. Awards are for a maximum award of $4,000 per academic year. For most jobs, the hourly pay rate is minimum wage (currently $10.55 per hour). Work-study funds are calculated as part of your financial aid package but are not paid until the hours are worked. Northern pays work-study students bi-weekly.

How to Apply

Funding is limited and awarded on need as well as a first-come, first-served basis.
