Summer Outreach Advising & Registration (SOAR)

Event registration for new freshman and transfer students

All new freshman and transfer students who plan to attend MSU-Northern are required to attend one of our Summer Outreach Advising and Registration (SOAR) days, which help guide you through the following steps:

• Meet with an advisor and sign up for your courses
• Complete your admissions checklist
• Meet with a financial aid advisor about financial aid (and complete the FAFSA application if needed)
• Get your student ID card
• Learn how to log into our student portal online
• Go on a personalized campus tour
• Get info from Career Center, Accessibility Services, Student Support Services, and Housing

You can register for any of the SOAR sessions by clicking the button below. Be sure to register early as there are limited spots available that will be removed once capacity is reached. Once you have finished registering, we will send an email to the address provided to confirm your details. Please use the same email address provided in your admissions applications so we can match your registration for easier processing.
