Pre-Professional Path

Students choosing the Pre-Allied Health concentration focus more on the health science courses required for application to Allied Health graduate programs like Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or athletic training. These students are encouraged to seek internships in different healthcare environments. Upon completing the pre-allied health program, students will be:

1. Skilled in physical assessments and communication techniques.

2. Knowledgeable in health science and human biology.

3. Eligible to apply for admissions to professional schools in allied health/healthcare.

4. Prepared for entry-level healthcare jobs and graduate/professional schools in allied health. 

Career Opportunities for Pre-Professional Path Graduates

Graduates of MSU-Northern's Integrated Health Sciences program Pre-Professional path pursue employment as health educators, consultants, community health specialists and health coordinators. They find jobs at government agencies, non-profit organizations, hospitals, and community-based organizations. Many graduates also, apply to graduate programs (Master's Degrees) throughout the country in allied health and health related programs, such as physical therapy, medical schools, Molecular Medicine, research opportunities.
